Action Learning Systems’ Curriculum Solution™ is a multi-layered system for delivering a tightly aligned program of curriculum and assessment. The Curriculum Solution™ is based on the California content standards and is available for all K-12 content areas.

Each Curriculum Solution™ resource manual contains these strategies:

Focus Standards are the most critical standards chosen by expert panels from districts across California. They are highly assessed on the California Standards Test and easily linked across content areas.

Curriculum Guides are the foundation of the Curriculum Solution™. Each Curriculum Guide is linked to a Focus Standard and specific objective. Curriculum Guides also include Instructional Strategies, sample assessment items, supporting skills, and suggested instructional time.

Instructional Sequences provide a research-based model for teaching the Focus Standards. Each Instructional Sequence is designed on Action Learning Systems’ lesson framework for standards-based instruction that includes accessing, interpreting, producing, and disseminating.

Scoring Guides are modeled after the scoring guides used for the California Standards Test. Related checklists and rubrics are authentic, informal assessments designed for use by students and teachers.

Instructional Strategies are research-based graphic organizers intended to help students develop schema around a concept or idea. Specific Instructional Strategies are referenced throughout the Curriculum Guides and Instructional Sequences.
